Responsible gambling
Gambling should stay entertainment. If it starts to feel like more, the tools and support below are free, confidential and one message away.
Signs it is becoming a problem
- Spending more than you planned, or chasing losses to win them back.
- Borrowing to gamble, or using money meant for bills.
- Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
- Feeling anxious or low when you are not gambling.
Tools to stay in control
Every casino we list has built-in controls. Set a deposit limit before you start, use a cooling-off period when you need a break, and reach for self-exclusion if you need to stop entirely. They are free and take moments to switch on.
Provincial self-exclusion
Regulated provinces run their own self-exclusion programs, such as iGaming Ontario's, which block access to licensed sites for a period you choose. Contact your provincial regulator or the helpline below to enrol.
Free, confidential helplines
Ontario, ConnexOntario: call 1-866-531-2600, free and confidential, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with live chat and email through its website.
Outside Ontario, your provincial health service runs a problem-gambling helpline. In immediate crisis, call 988 for the Suicide Crisis Helpline or 911.
